poor mans maxi is really doing it this time!!!!
The mag wheel is a disaster, but its doing the job. My poor-man maxi has pulled me past the 10,000 mile mark!!!! thats right, we have almost riden farther that the jerk in canada!!!!! (he did 11,500 miles on a motobecane.) Chile has been a damned expensive country, mostly the food a gas are killing us right now.
We had a small touch of M.M.D. (mysterious moped disease) which is when you moped has spark, compresion, gas, everything, but just wont start. I caught it the night my wheel exploded, had it for two days, then passed it to graham, who has had it for almost 5 days now..... HOWEVER!!!!! M.M.D. has been conquered!!!! We found that you just need a HOTTER SPARK PLUG!!!! or that your PLUG GAP is too big. For everyone reading this who works on mopeds, you have just saved yourself HOURS of pointless work.
Shipment Details: we requested new cranks, clutches, new polini, new engine block, and another kickstand. All were gathered, but i just found out that there are no DHL outlets past Santiago, and we blasted Santiago yesterday. Maybe Poor-mans-maxi will just have to come through for me on this epic moped journey.
We are approaching the "german" part of south america, and graham and i just helped ourselves to a few pints of the FINEST german beer: kunstman. Very find german beer, popluar among the many germans here that we have heard so much about but not yet seen. Strange.
Cold fronts approaching as we will be crossing into Argentina soon...home streach..yep
We really doin it this time!!!
